Experienced Obstetrics Team
Our OB team of providers and nurses have the experience you’re looking for. We are privileged to deliver dozens of babies each year in our birthing center! Most recently, we've added a certified nurse midwife to our team of providers.
With five physicians, a certified nurse midwife, and 10 registered nurses, we’re prepared to respond 24 hours a day and welcome your little one to the world at any time. Most importantly, our team has the medical expertise for any situation, including delivery by C-section. Rely on us to make sure your birth experience goes safely and smoothly.
A Brand New Modern Birthing Center
Cherokee Regional Medical Center's brand new, state-of-the-art birthing center is one of the most inviting birthing units in Northwest Iowa. Unveiled in December 2025, the new facility was designed to make the birthing experience memorable and comfortable for mother, baby and family, our birthing center includes four spacious rooms to accommodate labor and delivery as well as postpartum care.
What to expect:
- Labor, deliver, and recover all in the same room
- Large private bathroom with a tub
- Streaming TV
- Pullout couch for family and visitors
- Catered celebratory postpartum meal with your choice of prime rib or pasta.
