Cherokee, IOWA – Cherokee Regional Medical Center (Cherokee Regional) is proud to announce that six Cherokee Regional managers have completed the 2023 Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) Leadership Development Program.
According to ihaonline.org, the program was established in 2000 and is designed to encourage heath care professionals who have recently taken on new responsibilities to enhance their leadership skills or to help refresh the skills of experienced employees.
“This program is a great way for our hospital managers to network with peers internally as well as with colleagues from other facilities on top of receiving training in a variety of topics related to leadership,” says Angela Friedrich, Vice President of Clinical Services/CNO at Cherokee Regional.
Graduates of this year’s program were: Kody Decker, Radiology Manager; Greg Gengler, Ambulance Manager; Kayla Mayer, Public Health Manager; Tonya Oolman, Hospice Manager; Kayla Paulsen, Obstetrics Manager; Jennifer Witzke, Emergency Department Manager.
The graduates were honored with an awards ceremony in Des Moines on Wednesday, October 13, 2023.
