Programs & Activities

The Wellness Center offers a wide variety of classes and programs throughout the year.

**This is a list of classes and programs offered at the Wellness Center - these classes are NOT offered all of the time. Certain classes and programs are offered at different times of the year. Call the Wellness Center if you have any questions about a specific class or program or to find out when individual classes will be offered.

8th Grade Orientation
This is required for any child going into the 8th grade that wants to go upstairs to lift weights and be on the cardio machines. They will learn the proper way to run the machines, and lift weights.
Aqua Fit

A fun pool workout that will improve strength and cardiovascular endurance without the impact on your joints. The advantage of aquatic exercise is that it can involve the upper and lower extremities through optimal ranges of motion while minimizing joint stress.

Boot Camp

This class starts out with a 5 min. warm-up, which will prepare the body for an intense workout. We will then go full throttle with workouts that include calisthenics, running drills, agility ladder, jump ropes, stairs, kettle bells, and lots of core work. Some strength exercise will also be done, including push-up and plank combos.  

Chair Yoga

A gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. We focus on relaxed breathing, balance, and flexibility.  

Circuit Strength

Take a half hour to complete this circuit on the weight machines.  30 seconds at each weight machine before you’re on to the next!  It’s quick, but challenging—perfect for anyone who is on the go!

Dance Fit

This fun and easy to follow cardio dance class combines high-energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that make you feel like you are partying on the dance floor. Easy to follow, and something everyone can do it.

Dance Tone
Same as Dance Fit but add some weights and you got some toning going on. Music is a little more challenging, but anyone can do it.  Modify or drop the weights and you are still getting in a good cardio workout! 
Golden Girls (Lite Circuit Strength)

Like Circuit Strength, this is a circuit on the weight lifting machines, with power walking intervals.  Designed with the older gal in mind, this class offers a fun environment with professional staff on hand to help you!

H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training)

A training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time.

Lite Body Bars

Develop overall body muscular strength and endurance by using the body bar as your resistance tool. You will also develop core strength and flexibility with a variety of creative and fun exercise movements. Come work it out with the body bar!

Total Burn
We’re putting a twist on our Body Bars class!  This instructor led class will work out your whole body by combining Body Bars with some fun cardio.  If you’re looking for a quick, exciting, full body workout- this is it! 
Special Athletic Program
Athletic Republic Acceleration Program
The Athletic Republic Acceleration Sports Training program (formerly known as Frappier Acceleration) is an 8-10 week program that consists of intense physcial activity including, but not limited to: treadmill training, plyometrics and weight training.

This program is ideal for anyone looking to improve their athletic performance by increasing their overall speed, agility, foot speed, power and coordination.
