Ambulance

Cherokee Regional Medical Center Ambulance Service provides care to all of Cherokee County. We have a team of full-time and part-time Paramedic’s and EMT’s. One ambulance is staffed with Paramedics and EMT’s 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All Paramedics are certified in ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NRP. In addition to responding to emergency calls, CRMC ambulance staff assists in the Emergency Department, Respiratory Therapy, performs EKGs, and assists in the training and education of other hospital staff.

CRMC owns 3 ambulances a 2017 Dodge Type I, a 2014 Ford E450 Type III, and a 2012 Chevy 4500 Type III.  Included in the ambulances is specialized equipment such as the Zoll X Series cardiac monitor with twelve-lead capability, Lucas CPR Device, Striker Power Cot’s, Striker Power Load and, Striker Stair-pro. The CRMC ambulance service is well equipped to respond to emergency situations. CRMC Ambulance Service works closely with area Law Enforcement and Fire Departments on emergency calls.

CRMC ambulance service also provides many other services for the benefit of the community:

  • Drawing blood for lab tests for residents at the area Care Facilities
  • Standing by at football games, rodeo and other special events within Cherokee County
  • Participating in community parades
  • Serving as a clinic site for EMS students
  • Giving presentations to community organizations
